Lord Forsyth when elected as president of the SBA indicated he would like there to be a 'President's Rally'. His home is on the shores of Loch Ard. So, in May 2018 there will be a 'President's Rally' in the beautiful Trossachs area of Scotland.
Friday 4th May :- launch and explore beautiful Loch Ard. The sailing club at Kinlochard have kindly agreed to allow us to use their facilities. In the evening we will be dining in Aberfoyle.
Saturday 5th May :- again explore Loch Ard and this time at 1 o'clock we will gather at our presidents loch side home for a BBQ.
Sunday 6th May Haul out on Saturday evening or Sunday morning to move to Loch Katrine
Rest, recover and re launch.
Monday the 7th join the Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine when the east end of the loch will be explored.
Tuesday 8th July :- a cruise to the other end of magnificent Loch Katrine and lunch at Stronnachlachar. ( participants who can't pronounce the village name buy the drinks). We round off the weekend with a dinner, again probably in Aberfoyle.
If owners wish to continue exploring Loch Katrine are welcome to do so. If it is the wish to explore that area of Scotland boats can be left ashore or afloat at Loch Katrine.
Accommodation in the area can be found on 'roomfinderscotland.co.uk' and search around Aberfoyle. New for 2018 are 'Eco lodges' at Loch Katrine and motorhomes can now be parked at Trossachs pier.
